5th Annual State Level Dialogue on the 28th of May, International Women’s Health Day for Action |

Greetings from SAHAYOG!
We are glad to share with you that Healthwatch Forum and Mahila Swasthaya Adhikar Manch are hosting the 5th Annual State Level Dialogue on the 28th of May, International Women’s Health Day for Action. This is a forum for female community leaders to share their experiences obtaining health services in their areas, as well as the ground realities of implementing government health programmes/schemes with State secretariat/ directorate level officials. Their accounts are compiled into a formal recommendation and submitted to related officials.
This year the dialogue attendees will include political representatives as well as bureaucrats. The chief guest will be State Health Minister, Mr. Anant Kumar Mishra, and officials from UP State Health secretariat , Health Directorate, State Women Commission, ST/ST commission and State Minority Commission are invited.
Mahila Swasthya Adhikar Manch (a forum of 4,000 Dalit, Muslim, tribal, poor community leadership women) is monitoring the health programmes in 8 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Most recently, they completed a Social Audit of Janani Surakha Yojna, Mid Day meal, NREGA, Public Distribution Scheme and Aganwadi programmes. This report will be presented at the dialogue by community women.
