Ab to Jaago
During the Sixteen Days of Activism in 2007, entitled Ab to Jaago (Wake Up Now), SAHAYOG partnered with organizations and networks across half the state of Uttar Pradesh to anchor a campaign for the Protection of Women from the Domestic Violence Act (PWDVA 2005), possibly the largest such campaign ever.
The main objectives of the campaign were to create awareness about PWDV Act 2005 at a larger level; to make the government accountable for implementing this Law; and to create awareness and dialogue about DV Act 2005 at the district level.
Campaign activities included district level dialogues, rally, street plays, dramas, wall writing, candle march, pamphlets and posters distribution and meetings that were organized in 42 districts of U.P.
